No. During this Q200 flood event Bundy Homes received no calls at all from any residents of Paddington Grove of excessive water on or near their lots.
The simple fact is that this current stage of Paddington Grove is actually the same height as the Westpac Bank branch in the main street of Bundaberg. This can be confirmed on the Bundaberg Regional Council website.
2. Will there be an alternative exit point from Paddington Grove?
Yes. In the future, traffic will be able to exit to Bargara Rd from Limpus Crescent. Bundaberg City Council is involved in the planning and is keen to see this occur also.
A real benefit will be a quicker trip to the beach by cutting over a kilometre from the trip.
3. Why are the blocks so large?
Paddington Grove is a 10 year project. We are into year 7. We know that over time these blocks, most in excess of 800m2, will be quite rare. Bundy Homes want continuous sales of land and construction of homes over the period of the project. We see the size of the blocks as paramount to give our product a competitive advantage over other estates, and also enable our clients the option to build swimming pools, and even tennis courts on some blocks.
4. Why are the blocks priced at less than other estates?
Bundy Homes want continuity in land sales and home construction starts. We know we can sell the land for more, but we choose not to. This is partly offset by us not having to pay real estate agency commissions. We are a building company and don’t need to make excessive profits on the land like many developers who are mainly from out of town. Those developers usually want to make quick profits and go elsewhere. We are proudly long term locals.
5. Can we buy just the block of land from you?
No. We know we build some of the best quality homes in all the popular styles. We do not want inferior workmanship, vacant overgrown blocks, or partly completed dwellings which are obvious in most other estates. There are dodgy builders out there and they will never build in Paddington Grove.
6. Can we do our own landscaping and fencing?
We prefer to organise everything. We have access to the best tradespeople in town. So long as landscaping to the front of your home is done prior to completion and handover, you can do your own. We strongly recommend, however, that you use our professional landscapers.
There will never be a fencing dispute in Paddington Grove because we include fencing (of any style required) in our house and land package. Driveways must be built by us at the time of construction.
7. What is Paddington Green?
Paddington Green is one of the best parks in the Region. The now fully developed Paddington Green Park has pathways, shelters, off street parking, a drinking fountain, brilliant interactive play equipment and Woongarra Scrub re-planting.
8. What are the Neighbours like?
Please ask them. We are totally biased, of course, but the existing residents are some of the best folk you could ever hope to meet.
Locals or new locals, we have residents from the building industry, a pilot, doctors and small business people. Most are working, a few retired and some with young families. We believe it is an excellent mix, and only getting better. You’ll discover that when you attend your first Paddington Grove Street Christmas Party!
9. What if I want to use another builder?
Buy elsewhere, sorry. We know we have the best tradespeople, suppliers etc. in town and have done for years. The package we offer you is complete and everything is normally included. You can, and usually do, totally customize the home plan to suit you and your family. You, along with our consultants, pick all the colours, tiles, landscaping, appliances and so on. There is no extra cost to have your own original design or use one of our award winning standard designs. It’s up to you.
Occasionally there is the odd ‘Spec’ home for sale but most of the time we just start from scratch. Pick a block, develop a plan, get an all up costing from Michael and 18 weeks later you live in the best estate in Bundaberg!
